About the Comic

Magical shops are a tradition that has existed on every world throughout the ages, appearing wherever they are most needed. Their keepers have long given magical objects, curses, and sage advice to their patrons. The Zen Café is no different--and as such, holds a great many secrets, some terrible, some amazing. And its newest employee (and really, only) is about to discover...

...that she really, really should have taken the job at Abercrombie and Fitch.

Technical Specs

The Zen Café is drawn freehand on a Wacom Graphire 2 tablet straight into Photoshop Elements 2.0, no hand-drawing involved. It's drawn completely in grays.

The site design was created using TextWrangler, a text-editing program similar to BBEdit exclusively for the Macintosh/Apple platform. Banners and miscellaneous site graphics were made in Photoshop Elements 2.0.

About the Author

Ling (a nickname, although a lot of her RL friend actually call her this) has been drawing seriously for about eight years now, ever since she decided that she really wanted to be able to draw Sailor Moon. Three years later, she got her first volumes of manga--and has been hooked on drawing comics ever since. In her spare time, she likes to write, knit, watch Firefly and read books, her favorite books being Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, the Star Wars X-wing series, and Victor Hugo's Les Misérables.
